We have 7 sweet...some a little naughty...new little children, ages 4 to 10. It was a hard process of selection this time, as there were more sibling groups and I didn't feel right breaking them up. In addition to our new kids, we have started a program to pay school fees for the kids whose widowed mothers have AIDS. This will allow the family to remain intact. We will go visit them and encourage them as we have the staff and heart to do that. The new kids are adjusting well. We have 6 boys; two sibling groups that includes one set of 7 year old twins. They all seem to like it here with us...they like the play time, the videos and the food...not to mention clean beds and clothes, a warm and loving home.
Our September newsletter is out, read all about our recent joys and dreams realized amongst the chaos of opening a new home!

This summer will be a lot of fun for the kids. We have some special things planned and are also in the midst of opening the third Children's Home. I am busy, busy, busy and loving it. Qing Zhen (our former house mother and wife of the late Yun Song) will be returning with three other new staff members. She will have the role of helping all the homes and working with the older girls. This will help us out so much..in addition to having her incredible sweet spirit around us! More on the new children to come! |

Welcome to our brand new website! This summer, we will open our 3rd Children’s Home. We are very excited about meeting the new children. Please keep them in your thoughts as they make the transition.
In addition, we are looking for land. We have a vision to build simple, Dai style homes for each family. |

ALL the children and staff long to be back in the countryside. The kids want to play in the dirt and climb trees. All of our staff are farmers and dream of having a farm. We would like to raise chickens, perhaps pigs or goats, have a big vegetable garden, banana trees…maybe a dog. We are very excited about all the things that have been placed on our hearts.
As a reference, I asked the kids to believe for a van. A few months later we had a new van. We now go up to the mountains to run around and play, we go for picnics to the lake and we LOVE having a van. We are a very thankful bunch! |
We have a van! We needed a van to transport the children. As we grow it is getting more and more difficult to move the children around. Many take piano lessons and we frequently go swimming and up to the mountains to play. In addition, some of the children return to visit family at Chinese New Year. This helps us out so much to get the kids over the mountains and to their remote villages. We also have kids whose mothers are sick. As they request, we take the children to visit them.
