The Vision

Our vision is to help as many orphans as we can while loving those in front of us.

We choose life for our children, and this is a huge change in what they have been taught. We teach them that out of their mouths speaks life or death…and we encourage them to choose life. The transformations are incredible! It is our vision to teach our kids how to live and love and understand goodness, mercy and abundance. We are seeing wonderful heart changes in our children. We spend one on one time with each child, talking about the good memories in their biological families. These sessions have also drawn out the difficult and painful times. We lavish them with love and kindness. The kids are learning how to forgive and move forward. These are important milestones for each child.

Just to tell you how far our kids have come, the real fruit of our vision springing forth: when the typhoon hit southern Myanmar (Burma) in 2008, our kids wept. They knew what it felt like to lose your parents. Then they gave their entire allowances (about 50 cents a week) to help the children. It was amazing!

Our children have had a bad start in life; their stories can make us cry. Most were pale, dirty and under weight when they arrived. Today they are growing like weeds and thriving in every area. They are 'overcomers'! These kids are truly knitting together as a family, complete with all the joys and challenges.

The house parents model a good marriage. This is important for the kids to see, as they only have their past as a reference. We want and purpose them to see how a loving marriage can and should be. We also model and teach the children how to work together with love and compassion, and are learning how to ‘prefer one another’. We are beginning to see the fruit in this area! I hope you can see the joy on their faces. It is real. These kids are happy.

We move forward in peace as the doors open. Though we are not about ‘numbers’, we do care for those kids out there who are really and truly marginalized and in great need of help.
